April 2025: 20K clicks. 1.2% CTR.
The platform was underperforming in search. Low crawl coverage, no structured data, and content that wasn't built for how people actually searched. Here's where it started - and where it ended up.
How 55,000 articles get written overnight
Manual content creation was never going to scale. I built an end-to-end pipeline: keyword research fed into content generation APIs, which fed into fact-checking, which fed into SEO optimization. By morning, hundreds of new pages were live and indexed.
Used Model Context Protocols to systematically research the competitive landscape. Identified keyword gaps that traditional tools like Ahrefs and Semrush missed - entire clusters invisible in standard models. Mapped long-tail search intent directly to the product directory to capture users at the in-market phase.
Multiple APIs generated articles at scale - product descriptions, category guides, location-specific content. Each article was structured for SEO from the start: optimized title tags, meta descriptions, header hierarchy, internal linking. The pipeline processed hundreds of articles per batch.
Every generated article went through automated fact-checking against source data. Product details verified, pricing confirmed, claims validated. Nothing published without passing quality gates. 55,000 articles, zero manual entries.
Schema.org markup (JSON-LD) added to every page. Structured data for products, reviews, and local business information. Rich Snippets enabled in Google Search - pushed CTR from 1.2% to 1.9%. Lighthouse 90+ across Performance, Accessibility, and SEO.
The pipeline ran on a schedule. New articles generated, optimized, and published while the team slept. By morning, hundreds of new indexed pages were live. 13,000 directory pages, all search-optimized, all automated.
Four layers of SEO. All working together.
Traffic doesn't grow from one trick. It takes technical foundations, content optimization, authority building, and knowing what your audience is actually searching for. I ran all four.
Technical SEO
Site architecture, crawl optimization, structured data, Core Web Vitals.
Server-side rendering for full crawlability. XML sitemaps, robots.txt optimization, canonical URLs to prevent duplicate content. Schema.org (JSON-LD) on every page. Core Web Vitals tuned for 90+ Lighthouse scores. Crawl budget managed to prioritize high-value pages.
On-Page SEO
Title tags, meta descriptions, header hierarchy, internal linking structure.
Every page had unique, keyword-targeted title tags and meta descriptions. H1-H3 hierarchy optimized for both search engines and readability. Internal linking structure designed to distribute page authority. Content-length optimization based on top-ranking competitor analysis.
Off-Page SEO
Domain authority, backlink strategy, brand mentions, partnership links.
Domain authority building through strategic directory submissions and industry partnerships. Backlink outreach targeting relevant publications. Brand mention monitoring. Social signals from content distribution. All designed to build topical authority in the regulated industry vertical.
Business Research
Competitive intelligence, keyword gap analysis, in-market audience identification.
MCP-powered competitive research to find keyword clusters others missed. Search intent mapping to connect content to buyer journeys. In-market audience identification - targeting people ready to purchase, not just browse. Content calendar planning based on seasonal demand patterns.
From 20K to 510K clicks
Organic search became the primary acquisition channel. Not paid traffic. Not social. Real people searching for products, finding the directory, and converting. The hockey stick curve tells the story.
